Suffolk Orchid Society Annual Show

Come and marvel at a gorgeous display of our Cup-winning orchids!

The orchids offered in supermarkets and garden centres are a tiny sample of the tens of thousands of known species and hybrids. Our Show is an opportunity to enjoy a greater variety of their exotic forms, colours and fragrances.

The full programme is to be confirmed, but as well as our Society stand, we expect the following:

• It’s not just the Suffolk Orchid Society who will be exhibiting – our friends from the Orchid Society of East Anglia will be coming down from Norwich to set up a display of their orchids too!
• Orchids in flower and suitable for windowsill culture will be on sale from visiting nurserymen – handy for Mothering Sunday the following day!
• Society members will give repotting demonstrations and be available to advise on orchid culture.
• We’ll be running a Tombola.
• David Mittell will be offering for sale his wooden baskets and other carved accessories.
• We’ll have a stand offering for sale Guy William Eves’ botanical drawings (see https://www.guywilliameves.co.uk/).
• Refreshments, including light lunches, will be available at moderate cost.

Admission is £2.00. The Society can’t take card payments at the moment, so cash only please.

Last year, the Show was very busy in the morning but less so in the afternoon – so consider coming after 1pm if that is convenient for you.
