Kibble Palace in Glasgow Botanic Garden
This is an amazing venue for an orchid show.
This is an amazing venue for an orchid show. The Kibble Palace conservatory, which now houses a forest of tree ferns, was originally at a private house located at Coulport on Loch Long. It was moved to its present site in 1873 and was originally used as a concert hall and meeting place, hosting celebrated speakers such as Gladstone and Disraeli.
The Palace closed in September 2003 and over the following three years was dismantled and restored off site before being re-erected on its plinth in the Botanic Gardens.

It was a very successful show, the Palace was packed with people on both days, sales were very good, and the hospitality of the Scottish Orchid Society incredible.
